JENNA WEISS - HEAD SOFTBALL COACH


Ms. Weiss has been the Head Softball Coach at Irvington High School for the last four seasons after serving two seasons as an assistant coach. Ms. Weiss has also served as the Head Boys Soccer Coach at University Middle School for the last eight years.

Ms. Weiss grew up in Livingston, NJ and recruited out of high school to play softball at Rutgers Newark. Upon arrival, Ms. Weiss also earned a roster spot on the Rutgers Newark Women's Soccer Team. While competing as a college student-athlete for both the soccer and softball programs, Ms. Weiss learned about the game strategies to be successful on and off the field. Coach Weiss credits the Rutgers Newark coaching staff for always pushing her hard at the right times. Ms. Weiss is the single season record for most assists for Rutgers Newark. Ms. Weiss is proud of that accomplishment, and the hard work that went into earning the accolade.

After two years at Rutgers Newark, Ms. Weiss transferred to Montclair State University to study Physical Education, and played one year as a member of the Red Hawks Softball Team. Ms. Weiss graduated in 2008 and have been part of the Irvington community ever since.

Ms. Weiss is humbled to have a teaching position and coaching career with such great staff and students. Her goal was to always give back to help other students have the same success she had with good coaching and hard work.
